Hey @RandomBloke85, thanks for reporting and sorry to hear this. If you find something else that could help us to understand what's happening in your case, it'd be great.
Perhaps by starting Spyder in a system terminal (i.e. cmd.exe) you could see what errors appear before the BSOD. Another option would be to stop your VPN, firewall or antivirus and try again.
Unfortunately I have a very time sensitive and highly productive environment, so I don't have the time to make indepth troubleshooting. However, I attached the two latest minidump files. Maybe they reveal some insights (just replace the .txt with .dmp, had to change these to be able to upload them)
Ok, thanks for the extra info.
@dalthviz, if you have time, could take a look at those files?
I gave a check to the files but there is not much info there. It seems like one points to ntkrnlmp.exe
and the other points to win32kfull.sys
. Checking around maybe a good thing to do is to run a RAM memory check (Windows has a utility for that call mdsched.exe
). Also, is this happening when working in a specific file, or in general just by trying to open Spyder?
Any new info in order to understand what could be causing this is greatly appreciated.
Closing due to lack of response.
Hello
Spyder is a fantastic IDE and would be my IDE of choice. Unfortunately I can't use it, since it causes BSOD's on my W11 installation. The minidump file point to ntoskrnl.exe which probably means everything and nothing. Just wanted to report this.
