why does it say to 'restart the kernal to use updated packages' and how do i do that?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Hello!

I have tried to activate the local environment that I created before called 'Spatialmap' and then when i try to activate it by typing:

conda activate spatialmap

Then, it says "you may need to restart the kernal to use updated packages"

Do you know how I can do that? I tried going to 'Consolves'>'Restart kernal' ... but that did not work unfortunately.

Hi @mventura00 ! So seems like you have created an env called Spatialmap, right? and you are trying to activate it from inside Spyder? If that is the case, that should not be necessary 🤔

Also, how are you launching Spyder? Maybe from an Anaconda prompt?

Not totally sure the situation you are facing and when and where you are activating your env so could it be possible for you to submit a GIF or video recording your screen to better understand the situation here?
