Spyder encounters and internal problem when I try to update it using its own installer #22147

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Trying to update using Spyder's own installer.

Hey @abhimukherjee1, thanks for reporting. To fix this you need to manually uninstall Spyder, download our latest version from here:

https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/releases/tag/v5.5.4

and install it again.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but that's the only way to solve your problem.
