Your own installer offered to upgrade Spyder to version 6 and failed. #22982

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I opened Spyder and a window popped up that asked if I would like upgrade Spyder to version 6 (I think 6.0.1, but I didn't recall before it failed). I clicked yes to go ahead and then this Issue reporter window immediately popped up without any other error messages, so I'm not exactly sure what steps are necessary to repeat the problem.

Thanks for reporting. You need to manually update Spyder to fix this problem.

To do that, please close Spyder, open the Anaconda Prompt (on Windows) or a terminal (on macOS or Linux) and run there

conda install spyder=6
