Change default view so "Variable Explorer" shows up on Spyder load, instead of "Help" #48

As per this email chain, I'd love to change the default view so "Variable Explorer" shows up on Spyder load, instead of "Help". There are many experienced Python users who never use the "Help" tab, but who always use the "Variable Explorer" tab.

Right now there's not an option for doing this, I'm going to transfer this issue to our UX repo were we can discuss how we can use your feedback to enhance Spyder.

@mccarthysean, this will be finally fixed in our next version (Spyder 5.3.3) by preserving the visible panes every time Spyder is closed and reopened.
