generic worker not running updated simulation code #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. submit task
2. update simulation code
3. submit task again

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: results for current code version
Observed output: results for previous code version

terry applied fix to clear functions from memory on every pass through generic 
worker main loop
