On line 975 the calculation for 'Fiscal Month Year' refers to to the variable calendar year instead of fiscal year.

It is correct. If you have a fiscal year going from July to June, you want to see "July 2019" in the first month of the fiscal year 2020 and "June 2020" in the last month of the fiscal year 2020.
