I just finished a Vue version of this here: https://github.com/ICJIA/spac-statute-explorer

This may be what you're looking for in terms of locating (local) files.

It's nowhere near as elegant as this React version -- but it works (for a couple of different databases) and seems to load things quickly. Proof-of-concept only.
