Approx. 1 sec transport delay in audio on sending and receiving ends #289

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Testing sipdroid / Droid at home
2. Using sipdroid over WiFi in Airplane Mode
3. Call home phone number (a land line phone) from the Droid though sipdroid.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected a normal, high quality phone conversation. While the audio
quality itself was fantastic, there was an approximate 1 second delay
between when I would speak on one phone and hear the received audio on the
other phone.

My little brother summed it up best of all when I asked him how I sounded
when I called him through sipdroid: "You sound great! Don't you ever call
me this way again!"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Sipdroid 1.3.4 beta / Motorola Droid 2.0.1 stock.

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
I am using Sipgate One for my sip server. I have a Google Voice number that
is used for the connection. My connection is managed through SipSorcery.

Which type of network are you using?
WiFi 20Mb/s bandwidth

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried both TCP and UDP connections without any noticeable change in delay.

Try an alternative to sipgate. I had similar delay with them before switching
to my
businesses simplesignal trunk.

Thanks, Kev - That helps. I'll see if I can find a free US alternative to
sipgate. I
know that gizmo5 isn't available right now.
