This is a serious issue and should be escalated to a higher priority than
medium. I use my phone so
that customers can still reach me by e-mail or text message when I'm on site
with another customer
(where I'll turn the ringer off). Without vibration, I have to pull my phone
out every other minute to
check if I missed an important e-mail. If you think that's tolerable or even
funny, turn the ringer off on
your landline phone and pick up the receiver every other minute to ask if
there's somebody there, I'm
sure you'll enjoy that, too. At least provide us with a tool to manually
enable vibration after sipdroid
has been uninstalled!

Okay, after further investigating the issue, I found out that both the texting
app ("SMS/MMS") and the
Google Mail app both contain a vibration enable/disable option in their
settings menus. Re-enabling
vibration there helped. So step 1 should be that you warn the users in your
app description in the
market that they have to go to these menus and re-enable vibration, and step 2
that you find out what's
causing the issue and fix it.
