Can't set "voice compression" on Motorola Milestone (Droid) #318

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Preferences menu
2. Locate the "Voice Compression" item
3. It's greyed out

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should be able to set GSM codec (I have 50 MB/day plan, in alaw it would
run out in few minutes) but it doesn't seem to be selectable.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.3.11 beta on Android 2.0.1

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
Not applicable

Which type of network are you using?
UMTS/WIFI/EDGE

Please provide any additional information below.
It used to work with my G1 (Android Donut 1.6)

Same thing on a Mytouch 3G running a 1.6 Donut rom. I am connectiong to 
pbxes.org via
wifi.

Hope GSM is enabled really soon.  Mobile data charges in NZ are obscene.
