Organising the competition involves a moving a lot of equipment which SR either owns or borrows. We had this as a semi-defined role for SR2019 but don't seem to have anything about this in the runbook. I suspect in the past it fell under the remit of the production manager.
It's probably reasonable that this remain as a responsibility of the production manager, albeit one which is clearly defined and perhaps encouraged to be delegated (rather than explicitly being a separate role).
At SR2019 it wasn't clear to everyone that this was a role, nor what was expected around moving of equipment. Hopefully documenting it, along with best practises, will help.
A concrete suggestion from SR2019 is to determine whole journey of item, rather than just a final destination, and include both that and the ownership of the item clearly on the item.
