Would we include the numbering in the margins as a note or within square brackets or leave it out?

Thanks @bogdg, this is a tricky case. @davidamichelson and I will discuss if there's a way we can handle this in the TEI

@bogdg Thanks, in this case, please place all of these marginal annotations into a separate single quote item after the main quote. Then leave this issue open and we will mark this manuscript as having elements that cannot display properly.
