EnodeB problem or lime configuration ? #824

Open JellyBeanCandy opened 2 years ago

JellyBeanCandy commented 2 years ago

Issue Description

Hello everyone, I've tried to setup working srsRAN network. I stucked on EnodeB when I try to run it.

Setup Details

- required libraries for Ubuntu: sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake libfftw3-dev libmbedtls-dev libboost-program-options-dev libconfig++-dev libsctp-dev

-Download and build srsRAN:

git clone https://github.com/srsRAN/srsRAN.git
cd srsRAN
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ../
make
make test

Install srsRAN:

sudo make install
sudo srsran_install_configs.sh service

I installed configuration files in /etc/srsran, also change paths of sib.conf, rr.conf and rb.conf (no warrning messages now)

Expected Behavior

I would like to start ENB. I think (maybee I'am wrong) it's something wrong with antenas configuration or transmission mode itd.

Actual Behaviour

At the end program says : " Error starting Tx streaming." but the whole resposne is:

--- Software Radio Systems LTE eNodeB ---

Reading configuration file /etc/srsran/enb.conf...
WARNING: Could not verify cpu0 scaling governor
WARNING: Could not verify cpu1 scaling governor
WARNING: Could not verify cpu2 scaling governor

Built in Release mode using commit 5275f3336 on branch master.

# Packet capture configuration
#
# MAC-layer packets are captured to a file in the compact format which can
# be decoded by Wireshark. For decoding, use the UDP dissector and the UDP
# heuristic dissection. Edit the preferences (Edit > Preferences >
# Protocols > DLT_USER) for DLT_USER to add an entry for DLT=149 with
# Protocol=udp. Further, enable the heuristic dissection in UDP under:
# Analyze > Enabled Protocols > MAC-LTE > mac_lte_udp and MAC-NR > mac_nr_udp
# For more information see: https://wiki.wireshark.org/MAC-LTE
# Configuring this Wireshark preferences is needed for decoding the MAC PCAP
# files as well as for the live network capture option.
#
# Please note that this setting will by default only capture MAC
# frames on dedicated channels, and not SIB. You have to build with
# WRITE_SIB_PCAP enabled in srsenb/src/stack/mac/mac.cc if you want
# SIB to be part of the MAC pcap file.
#
# S1AP Packets are captured to a file in the compact format which can
# be decoded by the Wireshark s1ap dissector with DLT 150.
# To use the dissector, edit the preferences for DLT_USER to
# add an entry with DLT=150, Payload Protocol=s1ap.
#
# mac_enable: Enable MAC layer packet captures (true/false)
# mac_filename: File path to use for packet captures
# s1ap_enable: Enable or disable the PCAP.
# s1ap_filename: File name where to save the PCAP.

The startup log has the clue:

Soapy has found device #0: default_input=True, default_output=True, device_id=0, driver=audio, label=hw:HDA Intel,0,
Soapy has found device #1: default_input=False, default_output=False, device_id=1, driver=audio, label=default,
Soapy has found device #2: addr=24607:1027, driver=lime, label=LimeSDR Mini [USB 3.0] 1D5386F3C5B8BB, media=USB 3.0, module=FT601, name=LimeSDR Mini, serial=1D5386F3C5B8BB,

Looks like your eNB is selecting your sound card instead of your LimeSDR.

Try changing the enb.conf lines:

device_name = soapy
device_args = soapy=2
