5G SA COTS UE (Samsung S21+5G) User Inactivity. Cannot connect to the network. #873

Issue Description

Trying to connect Samsung S21+5G to the network with the srsgnb. The config files and pcap from Core here.

Setup Details

core: free5Gc (10.23.10.143) host: srsRAN (10.23.8.143) ue: Samsung Galaxy S21+5G band: 3 free5gc.zip enb.zip config_files.zip

Expected Behavior

With openairinterface5G the phone connected to the core and network. Everything was fine.

Actual Behaviour

RRC connection complete - OK Security mode complete - OK Registration Complete - OK after PDU SesstionResourceSetupResponse - UEContextReleaseRequest (User Inactivity cause) from the gNb to AMF

Hey, try to reduce the MCS for the UL a bit. It seems you're using the default value of 28 which might be too high for your channel.
