General exception error when trying to remove a persona.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use mysql as the database backend.
2. Configure a subdirectory openid domain (username at end of url)
3. Create a persona, then try to remove it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

 - Persona successfully removed.
 - A general exception occurred while trying to access OpenID. Please notify your system administrator. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

 - jos 1.2.1 r525
 - ubuntu server 9.10
 - tomcat 6
 - java 1.6
 - mysql-server-5.1

Please provide any additional information below.
