You know that if you go into space without protection in real life you'll freeze to death in seconds, yes?
That's where fire damage comes from.
The thing is, space is not cold; it has no temperature. It just seems cold because the temperature of gasses rapidly expanding to compensate for the low pressure goes down. Even it it was cold damage, fire makes no sense. Fire damage is the opposite of freezing, last I checked.
Well, there's background microwave radiation everywhere that's at 3°K. So if you got thrown out of an airlock, your own body should reach the same equilibrium temperature.
It should probably do brute (internal injuries thanks to nil air pressure), Suffocation (obvious), and some Tox (radiation).
The code for this is probably
handle_environment
somewhere inmob/living/carbon/human
.
