There's already a Qualcomm on some dictionary: 高通公司 高通公司 [Gao1 tong1 Gong1 si1] /Qualcomm/

(Qualcomm) Snapdragon is just referred to in following article as 骁龙, not with its full name 高通骁龙

Need to add this:

Not sure though if we need to add the full name Qualcomm Snapdragon..

高通驍龍 高通骁龙 [Gao1 tong1_Xiao1 long2] /Qualcomm Snapdragon/

..as that is akin to providing definition for Intel Core i9, when both Intel and Core i9 separately have their own direct definitions. To note, other dictionary's policy is not to add compound word if the compound word's definition is superfluous, that is don't add XY to dictionary if XY is mere X + Y and there are existing separate and direct definitions for both X and Y

I think though why 高通公司 (an XY example. Qualcomm + Company) is added to other dictionary is that 高通 can have other readings aside from Qualcomm, e.g., 高通量, 高通滤波

If we don't need to add 高通骁龙, we need to add this:

高通 高通 [Gao1 tong1] /Qualcomm/

We also need to add 高通 to split overrides , as 高通 have another reading aside from Qualcomm, e.g.,

Thanks, yes it can be slightly awkward when a company calls itself after a common part-word. We already have an entry for 高通量 and I don't see why we can't also add 高通滤波 and 高通滤波器 but I'm not 100% sure this will cover all the exceptions to 高通=Qualcomm. Let's try Gāotōng=Qualcomm and gāotōng=high-pass (except in 高通量) and see what that does—if it causes too many false positives then we could word-override it as well.

骁龙=Snapdragon (processor) shouldn't be a problem (I hope). I suppose we should include "(processor)" because there's a type of plant called snapdragon (金鱼草 in the ABC Dictionary)
