For future reference if we know we're gonna change 2-3 things here, lets hold off on major releases so we don't skip through major versions.... it doesn't really matter, but it makes the thing seem / sound more unstable than it is.

Looks like the version in the README might need updating too!

I'm leaning towards all of this being simply v2 but in progress. Once it's all done we'll move it in as Private groups v2 into the SIP repo. NPM versions is another matter.
