more clearly layed out tests #16

the tests were a bit jumbled (from my perspective) I've split them out along type lines, as a first step before I start adding more tests

yes it's more files, but I'm focusing on making tests easy and clear to extend :+1: maintenance

Minor comment thing otherwise looks great. Thanks for helping improve the tests.

I would recommend we don't include package-lock.json, it doesn't work well with branches and in general is just a PITA
