Fixed (non-window size dependent) reader width

I have a widescreen monitor, so I use a splitscreen window arrangment often. 
When I use iReader with Chrome maximized, I need to set it to narrow so that my 
eyes don't have to jump. When I use a split screen, I have to set it to wide so 
that I don't scroll too much.

I think the best way to fix this is to add the option of a fixed reader width.

Yes please choose a fixed width for the content, just like Safari Reader, the 
fluid style is really quite bothersome!

Given that readability is what you strive for, consistency is certainly very 
appreciated.

It is a very easy fix, or at most adding a checkbox to the configuration!

A good rule of thumb would be to set (optional) minimum fixed width. For best 
readability I'd suggest using such a default width, so that on average 7-8 
words fit on one line (using default font & font-size).

Agreed. Typography and readability buffs differ somewhat about what is the 
ideal number of characters or words per line, but a good rule of thumb is 10-15 
words per line for optimal reading. (Reference Safari's Reader)
