Can't open iReader twice without reloading the page #349

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click the iReader icon once when reading an article.
2. Close the iReader overlay (using the x at the bottom or clicking next to the 
overlay)
3. Try to open iReader again with the address bar icon.

What is the expected output?
Display the iReader overlay again.

What do you see instead?
Nothing happens. I have to reload the page to use iReader a second time.

Browser: Firefox 21.0
Operating system: Mac OS 10.8.3

Tried with all other extensions disabled, didn't change a thing.
