LG Spectrum ICS 4.0.4 wifi-tether fails after upgrade from GB 2.3.6 #1652

Which firmware is installed?
Android 4.0.4
VS920ZV7-M8660A-AABQNSZM-3.6.2421

Build: IMM76D
Software: VS920ZV7

What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.2-beta2 ***Beta***

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Wifi Tether
2. Set Device-Profile to LG Optimus S (which worked fine on Gingerbread)
3. Freeze built-in VZW mobile hotspot app (com.lge.mobilehotspot.ui.1.0)
4. Try to start tethering

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tethering enabled, no errors in log

Tethering is not presented, log states "Setting ad-hoc mode... failed"

No other errors presented in log.
Please provide any additional information below.

Was working using GB just upgraded phone using Verizon Update Assistant, to 
ICS. Rooted phone. Re-installed apps (some restored via Titanium backup, 
including wifi-tether)

Same Issue on LG Spectrum with same firmware version and same app version as 
original poster. 

My app was not restored, it was a fresh install from the Play store.

I also attempted using the both Generic ICS profiles, with all of the different 
setup methods, all produced errors.

With Netndc: Configuring AP failed, Starting AP failed
With netd: configuring IP address failed
with wext: setting ad-hoc mode failed

There is a developer working on the problem over on this forum thread. It 
appears that the ad-hoc files are not present in the Spectrum ICS release.

So far that developer has not been successful. Anyone else have a fix yet?

Wifi_tether 3.3 pre2
Use generic ics/jb wlan0
Setup method hotsapd

You may have to reboot your phone 
And I can't get the encryption to work
