Fails to Initiate Access Point on Cyanogenmod 10.1 #1704

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Device: Verizon Galaxy Nexus by Samsung
OS: Cyanogenmod 10.1 Nightly (toro)
Version: 3.2-beta2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Starting App from App Drawer
2. Tapping to "start" WiFi tether service

I would expect the above steps to make a WiFi access point available to WiFi
ready devices. Instead, the screen flashes a warning "WiFi Tether has started
with errors. Show Log to see them. Attached is a screenshot of the log screen.

Awkwardly enough, it still marks itself as "Active," and I still must tap again
to deactivate the already non-broadcasting app to clear the notification area.

Same here on sprint s3.

I've tried a variety of combinations and there are a couple that do not result
in errors (cycling through different connection methods), but they don't
broadcast an SSID which means there is nothing for any client device to connect
to
