Cannot establish connection on Laptop #1714

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Motorola Razr M (rooted)

Which firmware is installed?
4.1.1 Jelly Bean (OOTB) 

What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.3 pre 2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Installed 3.3 Pre 2
2.Device Profile: Generic ICX/JB (wlan0)
3.Checked: WiFi-driver reload

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Identify SSID on Laptop and successfully establish connection to 
Internet
Actual:
1. Laptop picks up the SSID
2. Laptop establishes connection
3. I try to go to www.google.com to test connection and the laptop's wifi 
connection changes to "Limited Connection" and I can't access any sites.
4. I wait for a bit and it will show an established Internet connection.  Try 
www.google.com and it goes back to "Limited Connection" and webpage cannot be 
loaded.

Please provide any additional information below.
Laptop - Windows 7, 64 bit operating system
