Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Sprint HTC Evo 4g (NOT LTE)

Which firmware is installed?
5.07.651.1 CL356670 release-keys
What version of wireless tether are you using?
Wifi Tether for Root users Version 3.1-beta 14
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to connect
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? When I first downloaded
the application I tried the profile as Auto, Generic, HTC Evo 4G and set the
SSID to what I wanted and even enabled encryption so that I could have a
passcode to access it. When I try to connect to my laptop it says "Connected,
Limited Access" and/or says "Connected, No internet access"

Please provide any additional information below.

I have tried to research this issue on google and all I find is setup
procedures for HTC Evo 4G LTE not the HTC Evo 4G. Could you please help?

BTW My phone is rooted.

Changed the set-up method to ad-hoc as I saw that on another forum. It
connected momentarily with internet access and then it went back to Connected
but no internet access.

I downloaded the Wireless_tether_2_0_7-pre2 (i believe) and this seems to have
resolved this issue for now. I'm still monitoring to see if it works.
