Activating WiFi interface FAILED on Rooted, Deodexed, Debloated ICS - HTC Thunderbolt

Updated to Rooted, Deodexed, Debloated ICS ROM released for the HTC Thunderbolt 
& now WIFI Tether is giving the error: Activating WiFi interface FAILED upon 
startup. Any ideas?

Which firmware is installed?
Android Version = 4.0.4
HTC Sense Version = 3.6
Software number = 7.02.605.10.710RD
PRI Version = 1.41_002, 1.64_002
PRL Version = 15233
ERI Version = 5

Kernel Version = 3.016-g65bd5ca
htc-kernel@ul18000-build-133 #1 PREEMPT
Baseband Version = 2.02.00.1117r, 0.02.02.1211r
Build Number = 7.02.605.10 CL567366 release-keys
Browser Version = WebKit/534.30

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0.7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open program
2.Press ICON to start tethering
3.Then says Tethering started with errors and to check Show Log

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tethering started with errors and to check Show Log. When check Show Log says: 
Activating WiFi interface FAILED

Please provide any additional information below.

I noticed that your baseband is not the newest. The baseband I'm seeing in the 
screenshot for the ROM at 
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136273 is 2.03.00.0201r, 
0.02.02.1211r from screenshot here: <a

If you try updating your radio first by copying it to your SD Card per the 
instructions in that post, it may correct your issue.

Baseband updated to 2.03.00.0201r, 0.02.02.1211r.  Still same results.  Also, 
as per:

it show the following configuration instructions:

WIFI TETHER >this app

Q.) What are the recommended wifi tether settings?
 A.) Set as follows:

•Open SuperSu: Update Su binaries if prompted!
•Device Profile - Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
•(Some users report having to use the Rezound profile, though I never have)
•Wifi Driver Reload - checked
•Keep-Alive - checked
•Routing Fix - checked
•Disable Wake-Lock - checked

In settings, I only see Disable Wake-Lock - checked. It doesn't show any of the 
other options mentioned in the above configuration guide. I have Wifi Tether 
Version 2.07 installed from GOOGLE PLAY.

Have the same problem, everything checks out but only the wifi interface fails.

Gotta be a fix out there...anybody?

Count me in your numbers too. All fields passed, only WiFi interface failed.

I remember having this similar problem. Ended up getting Wifi Tether Treve Mod 
and it works fine. In fact just did it right now.
