Tether with no errors, SSID not showing on other devices #1873

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Which device (manufacturer, type)?
/Samsung Galaxy S Captivate SGH-i897

Which firmware is installed?
/Cyanogenmod 10.1 (Jelly Bean 4.2.2)

What version of wireless tether are you using?
/3.4 Experimental 1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I configure the profile that doesn't give me errors.
2. I start tethering.
3. The SSID is not shown on other devices (Laptop, Nintendo 3DS) and it doesn't
connect when I configure manually the connection.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
/ The expected output is that my other devices can get online but they can't
see the network and they can't connect to it even if I configure it as
invisible. Also, I need to spoof my mac address to be able to use Nintendo
Zone's streetpass relay.

Please provide any additional information below.
/This is the config that doesn't give me errors:

Device Profile: Generic ICS/JB (wlan0). The Captivate profile doesn't work.
Setup method: Netd (master)
Send Netd Max Client Cm.. - Activated
Mac Address Spoof - Activated with the MAC that I need to use.
WiFi-driver Reload - Activated
WiFi-driver Reload 2 - Activated
Routing Fix - Activated
Vibrate on Connect - Activated
Disable Wake-Lock - Activated
