Some players have been asking me about this in-game and I was under the impression that this was already implemented. I might remember incorrectly though.

Just wanted to add this here, so it doesn't get lost.

There is no serversided restriction to same sex couple, if an error occurs still then its restricted by FT.

I will check it.

Unfortunately it's locked by FT client
