Possible suggestion - page with 'this digidoc has expired' note, contact the library?
Is an amnesty required again related to digidocs? How does this relate to units being roll-over?
Meeting arranged for 10th January.
Also need to note - digidocs have URLs in that would need to be replaced if system changed - could we run two system in parallel or bulk replace? So relates to filter discussion #1 (could we store digidoc data locally so pick up from here) and also #10 above. New system needs to have ability to identify digidocs in myReferences so they can be searched?
Re changing URLs via bulk replace. Because not all references are stored in a single place, but rather across several refworks accounts, it isn't possible to do a bulk update (see also #19 )
It probably wouldn't be hugely difficult to identify all those references with DigiDoc URLs in them (e.g. by searching through cached versions of the lists) - and it might be possible to do some sort of automated correction based on this, although that's a bit harder to say without work to investigate it in detail.
If Digidoc URLs do change it would be good practice to keep old URLs working as well.
Scoping/requirements exercise in progress - will be distributed asap.
Point we also need to consider with this - what about units where we are using exactly the same reading list RSS and there is a digidoc, so URL does not change in this instance. AF believes this is not correct but we don't want to have different RSS feeds for exactly the same list that's across several units - what can we do about this?
Having student numbers for each individual unit and saying chapter available on each not adequate? Should have different urls as they do currently?
Also consider:
ability to mine SFX and Primo and Aleph for resources
shibboleth authentication - is it enough?
LS completed scoping exercise - for discussion with RE/DP
LS made digidoc expired notice. Liaising with SC about access to server and logs 19/06/13
Procedures for digidocs - review for 2013.
LS to call introductory meeting
To discuss with RE and how to move forward
