[FEAT] Limit on number of new flashcard and review per day #174

Hi,

First of all, thank you so much for this amazing plugin. It has helped a lot in my learning!

I was intending to limit the cards that I need to study per day but I did not find this option anywhere. So I have opened this feature request.

The limits that I wish would be like Anki similar limits on new cards per day and reviews per day. For example, now I have 300 new cards but I only wish to study 10 of them each day.

10 new cards per day and 10 reviews per day is what I had in mind but of course, the number could be changed as one would be preferred.

Let me know if this should be it's own feature request. I support the proposed feature, but with the added ability to specify a date range. My personal use case would be if I have a backlog of cards from illness--I could limit my reviews to only cards due between, say, 3 days ago until today.

This way, I can stem forgetting further cards while slowly whittling down my backlog at the same time. You could of course just plow through all your overdue cards in several hours, but that can lead to tons of reviews in the near term and burnout.

Not exactly the same thing, but is there a way to review newly added flashcards before going through the entire backlog of previously viewed cards that are due to be viewed again? I have like 250 cards that I have to view before seeing any of the new 5 ones I added.

This would be a separate feature, and it's not implemented yet afaik. As a workaround until @st3v3nmw chimes in, you could create a deck specifically for new cards and then move them to a different deck after you view them maybe?
