Motor Calculations:

We did speed calculations yesterday to determine what motors we want to use. The consideration for motors is speed vs. torque.

These were the options for motors:

The inner circumference of the pulley (the portion that the string will actually wrap around) used in our sliders is 112 mm, which is 0.112 m.

1150 RPM Calculation: 1150 RPM * 0.112 m / 60 sec = 2.14666667 m/s

435 RPM Calculation: 435 RPM * 0.112 m / 60 sec = 0.812 m/s

315 RPM Calculation: 315 RPM * 0.112 m / 60 sec = 0.588 m/s

233 RPM Calculation: 233 RPM * 0.112 m / 60 sec = 0.434933333 m/s
