Requirements

• Stable Base
  • Base can support other equipment on top of the robot
  • Robot doesn't move when not supposed to
• 4 Wheels/Motors
  • Needed for effective movement/turning
  • Even Turning and driving (not sliding left/right when supposed to go straight)
• Space to place equipment
  • Place to put batteries/wires/arms/etc.
  • Nothing falls through
• Appropriate Size
  • Everything fits on it
  • Fits in an 18 inch cube
  • Nothing sticks out too much
  • Mobility

Possible Solutions

• Evenly weighted base (arm and batteries in the middle) (weight is split across the entire robot rather than one side)
  • Allows for even turning and decently stable base
• Flat plates on the drivetrain
  • Space to place equipment/nothing falls through the bottom
• Dimensions: Length: 17.5in., Width: 14in. + 2 wheels = 18in.
  • Provides lots of space for the arm(s)/equipment
  • Less likely to fall/topple
• Support on the side
  • Provide support from the side to the middle to keep the arm stable
  • Keep wires from sticking out
• Wheels with wheels
  • Allows for better mobility
• Zip-ties
  • Keep wires from getting caught in the wheels/motors
  • Cable organization
