This data set and research questions looks good to me but here are few things to consider:
If a particular team didn't make it to the post-season for a specific year, will the post season win percentage just be 0 and how will handle the 0 values, do you just drop them for that year or keep it as 0? Also, will you adjust the weight on win percentage for more competitive games such as elite 8 and final 4?
In addition, I believe that your explanatory variables will contain offensive and defensive efficiency, but in the data set I only see variables as in adjusted offensive/defensive rating, are those things the same and how will you calculate/define?
