program closed or CTD when compiling aerial image #17

Closed FelixTchvertkin closed 8 months ago

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

all the actions set to no' I want to get the raw data and not to compile the scenery (so I can make the masks by myself as I used to do it with the original FSET) but after finishing building the first image the program closing it self or CTD

stackTom commented 10 months ago

I will look into it. Should be a simple fix.

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

thank you, looking forward also I would like to know if there is a way to use the FSX/P3D photo real raw data to be used to make MSFS CGL I know you need to break it into XYZ tiles but I used to P3D aeria image with FSET to work on huge areas

stackTom commented 10 months ago

You need to split it up. However, you can just use the msfs mode, and fset will split it up for you and compile for you.

FSET.zip

Try that build. It should fix the issue. If it's working fine, I'll release it as an update.

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

great, no CTD :) and still looking for a way to work on the aera tiles from P3D without combining them into one large file in photoshop 20,000X40,000 and then georefrnce it in QGIS so i can get them been compiled to MSFS

FSET now supports MSFS out of the box. See here https://github.com/stackTom/FSEarthTiles/blob/main/FSEarthTiles/Docs/Quick%20start%20-%20README%20first%20(MSFS2020).docx

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

yesterday I used your old version, If I compile it fully with everything set to yes it's wont CTD so I get the 9 BMP aera from there and combined them into this PNG the problem now is that the CGL size is over 5GB [image: image.png]

I saw the option for the MSFS but I get only square option, I used to work fully on my tile via photoshop, It's quite hard to work on 256X256 tiles to get all work (color correction, masking, moving of objects on the raster so it align with the scenery and more_

What do you mean by "square option"?

Also, you can just use the msfs option, let FSET split it for you into XYZ tiles and then do everything manually from there if you want.

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

well, It's quite hard to explain and it's getting very late for me 3AM So I want to thank you for your quick response and your work and hope to explain you my wish (I used to work with P3D photoscenerys very much' created many freeware photoscenerys that covered more than one country in eastern europe and the middle eas https://www.ftxdes.com/p/project-list.htmlt, so I'm aiming working on a huge scale and it's not possible with the ZYX tiles system of MSFS

Is it possible to take the "Area_Lp0...XXXXXX.bmp" file and compile it to msfs with the scripts that you created in the future?

Not possible currently. I would need to add code to support this. But I don't know if msfs supports anything aside from 256x256 XYZ coded images.

FelixTchvertkin commented 10 months ago

that the point, reverse the "Area.bmp" to the raw tiles and from there to zyx I couldn't find any other program that will let you work on big area and place it straight into zyx expect QGIS but you need to geo reference the raster and then use tiles2bing

Oh I see. Yeah fset currently doesn't support this. I'd need to code this.
