Nostr Wallet Connect #533

A part of my dream of a non-custodial stacker news experience. It would be great to be able to zap posts without having to leave a balance on stacker news. This could be done by using nostr wallet connect where if the user's balance is 0, they would zap from their linked wallet instead.

This in combination with #524 would allow for a complete non-custodial experience for SN.

After https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/685 it could also be used in place of a lightning address for a user. Invoices could be fetched over NWC and the user would receive the payment then

I did create a ticket for NWC (#490) but we renamed it to be more general

But we can keep both tickets open, just wanted to link #490 so it shows up there so it's easier to discover related tickets :)

Bitcoin Connect tries to bring different NWC enabled wallets, LNC and WebLN together and allow users to connect their own wallets. https://github.com/getAlby/bitcoin-connect I am happy to help if there is any question and would appreciate any feedback. The Github repo also contains some demos. You can also check habla.news or zap.stream.

not sure it makes sense to write my questions down here but if so, let me know and i'll do it!

edit: just found out you have a TG and Discord group. I joined the Discord group and I think I am just going to use the #alby channel in there until you reply :)

TG and Discord are options. But both are public and other discussion might interfere. We made good experience with a shared Slack channel. If you send me your email address I can send an invitation. Would that work? moritz@getalby.com
