from 06-intro-6:

mat2 m = mat2(1, 2,
              3, 4);
mat2 w = mat2(7, 8,
              9, 10);

mat2 q = matrixCompMult(m, w);

//q = mat2( 1, 16,
//         27, 40)

component wise 1 * 7 == 7; // !1

Also from 07-frag-1: "Tthe output from a fragment shader is one or more RGBA color values. "
