Improve seed-confirmation UX during onboarding

Problem: Users who go through the seed verification step in usertesting.com videos exhibit frustration. They try to "get around" the step in various ways—sometimes they copy/paste or perform some other off screen action to quickly assess the word they need. They go back and forth and get more frustrated.

Theory: Our two word test might be easy looking, signaling they don't really need to take it seriously, or they can get by simply going back and eyeballing the seed.

Some solution ideas:

• Ask user copy/paste the entire seed (this was how the original browser behaved).
• Ask user for only 1 word confirmation.
• Skip the confirmation completely.
• Ask them to tap all words in order (Coinbase Wallet and Lisk does this if I remember correctly).

I'm surprised that our users struggle at this step given all the users I've seen in our Lisk user test videos fly through this step without any problems (and they also have a two-word test).

I'll review our user testing videos to see what might be different. Do you have a direct link to them or are they just found by signing into our account with usertesting.com?

usertesting.com – I can guide you to the correct ones. From memory, what seems to be happening is:

• Testers want to find an easy/fast way to capture the words (maybe they care less since they are testers). Copy/paste words.
• Proceed to the test.
• Realize they need the words and go back.
• Lookup word, return to test.
• Test requests new word.
• Get frustrated, go back.
• Look up new word.
• Go back, get even more frustrated. Repeat.

Requiring a full copy/paste of the words might be explicitly harder, but be cognitively easier. If they opt to type it out it might flip the other way.
