It is not clear to me why this happens, but Luc Illusie shows up under the 'C' in the online bibliography: http://stacks.math.columbia.edu/bibliography#C

Yeah! And Jacob Lurie shows up under D. And Grothendieck under E as well as Artin!

Oh! I had not checked any other letters yet. Do you want me to change the title of this issue to something more general/appropriate?

The reason for this is easy: items are sorted by their key, not on first author. Because the author field was (and is) not really consistent, I went for the easy option. Now that someone noticed, I'll have to fix this.

Illusie's book has cotangent as its key, hence it appears under C.

The number of Johans in this discussion is rather high by the way.

Ah, I see. I had not realised that was the reason. Anyway, I guess sorting on the surname of the first author leads to less errors. Can you indicate in what sense this author field is not really consistent? After all, BibTeX is able to sort on this field, so we should be able to do something similar, right?

Re: The number of Johans in this discussion is rather high by the way. The number of Dutch-speaking people in this discussion is even higher (-;
