GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         There are millions of items lost or stolen every year in the US. The global GPS tracking device market was valued at $1.78 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach $4.93 billion by 2028. Excluding short-range trackers, such as Airtag, Tile. Apple Airtag sold 20M units in 2021 and 35M units in 2022.

We are building the world's first decentralized GPS tracker and combining the tracking and web3 game. Users can track anything from anywhere without paying the monthly fee and earn the token while using the tracker (track 2 earn).

Also, we are planning to kick off our first Kickstarter Campaign by partnering with the most experienced crowdfunding firms, Sliced and Rainfactory. As we are targeting consumers from web2 and web3 and partnering with experienced experts, we anticipate onboarding 10K new users to Stacks before the end of 2022 and 100K by the mid of 2023.

More importantly, our project funded by the provincial government.

Grant Impact:               User growth: Goal 1: 1000 new DAU Goal 2: 5000 new DAU Goal 3: 10,000 new DAU Goal 4: 50,000 new DAU Goal 5: 100,000 new DAU

Grant Risks:                          The biggest risk is we can't onboard users as many as we promised.

That's why we choose we pre-sell our product on Kickstarter first, it is a great place for us to test the market. Our goal for the crowdfunding is $1M.

Support Link:                                     Pitch Deck

GRANT ROADMAP & DELIVERABLES

MILESTONE 3:

Deliverable:                   Allow users to buy NFTs with Stacks

MILESTONE 4:

Deliverable:                   In game swap, allow users to swap Stacks Token, Parasol Token and USDA

FINAL DELIVERABLE

Deliverable:                   A decentralized tracker to track items globally and earn tokens with 10K users

Hi @kenwuuuu -

We have identified the projects we will be awarding grants as part of Stacks Foundation Grants Program Cohort 18. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your project was not among those selected.

This is no way means that we do not see the value of the work you proposed. We're lucky to have so many talented independent researchers, developers, and community leaders like yourself building on Stacks. Unfortunately, we receive many more proposals than we can actually fund with our limited means, so competition is extremely tough. While we generally support innovation in all forms, we tend to prioritize projects that have the potential to advance and differentiate the broader ecosystem from other blockchains, as well as projects that meet critical needs of the community at the time. These constraints mean that in several instances, several excellent projects may not make it into a cohort.

We very much appreciate the time and effort you've put into this process and encourage you to continue watching this repo and consider submitting a new application if and when you feel your project better aligns with the current priorities of the Grants Program.

If you should have any questions, please let us know in the comment section below.

Best, Will Stacks Foundation Grants Program Manager
