GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         There is a lack of high-quality web3 games in the crypto space. With backgrounds in tech venture capital and global gaming investment banking, our founders have access to talented game studio founders, engineers, designers, publishers, and community builders. We also have connections to traditional tech VCs, crypto VCs, and tech growth equity firms (Asia and North America) that will be interested in investing in Stacks' web-3 game ecosystem. Ultimately, the goal of Game 3.0 is to invite high-quality game builders and investors onto the Tezos blockchain and help build a vibrant community of Stacks web-3 game ecosystem.

Grant Impact:               For our project, there are three key metrics that will determine our success.

  1. The quality of our DAO members : How exceptional members' track records are in the gaming industry.
    • Within the first 2 weeks of potential member outreach, we on-boarded 1 AAA game studio CEO, 1 leading web-3 gaming studio in Korea, 1 leading web-3 gaming VC in Hong Kong, 2 investment bankers(global gaming) from Russia, 2 game developers with AAA games track records and 1 graphic designer
  2. Total fund(AUM) raised for Game3.0:
    • Our goal is to gather $10M+ for the first and $50M+ for the second game VC DAO, from top investors (tech VC, high net worth individuals, tech growth equity, and crypto VC)
  3. Successful seed investments
    • Our goal is to deploy the first $10M into 20 top-notch game studios (average ticket size $500,000) in 12 months.
    • Sourcing will be done by the DAO members who will leverage their extensive expert networks in the gaming industry.
    • Ultimately, our goal is to return x10+ for the first fund in 3-5 years.

Hi @wonhwang98 -

Right now and for the next quarter or so, grants are going to be reserved for critical blockchain related work and addressing priorities outlined from community feedback, which you can find here. Additionally, we ask that all applications focus on new & novel (and open source) tooling critical to Stacks (your application appears to be more aligned with seed funding for a chain agnostic DAO). As such, we are going to pass on your application.
