Ecosystem Programs:      i implemented a blockchain hub in my city through a stacks foundation grant

GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         Rust is the powerful systems language used to build several blockchains including stacks , this grant is to promote more rust developer adoption on the stacks ecosystem , by exposing the technology behind stacks and showing how it is done .

Clarinet , stacks, hyperchain and appchains are all built on stacks with rust language constructs , but stacks lacks documentation on this areas as expertise is less .. the grant aims to create educational docs on how average rust developers can learn how to build on this stacks layers and contribute to the stacks blockchain . what we are doing is research and study the engineering behind how rust powers stacks , and then put it into writing. then create starter guides and examples on how rust developers can build and contribute to stacks layers like clarinet, hyperchains and appchains , bitcoin layers this will enable more community input and be a roadmap for developers who want to join the core stacks team. some how stacks has focused on onboarding clarity developers to build on its chain and has not focused on bringing more core builders , this has an impact , it leaves the main chain with just little contributions and upgrades . if stacks adopts this idea and engages in supporting educational content for its core chain , it will bring about more transparency and upgrade to its core it will fix a lot of issues like it's congestion , speed , blockchain efficiency and create an open and transparent system for upgrading its main chain

Grant Impact:               starter developer docs on how to build on stacks with rust more rust developer engagement , if so what can be built and what is built with rust how can rust build clarinet starter guide starter docs on how to build appchains /bitcoin layers with rust

Grant Risks:                          my team wont work on this alone , we will bug and ask stacks core developers for questions and support , the risk involved is if we don't get propper attention and questions answered (like github repos , links etc)

[Support Link:]()                                     i have spoken to jenny , frieger and other stacks OGs and they support the idea , i think this is what stacks needs more than anything now

GRANT ROADMAP & DELIVERABLES

MILESTONE 1:

Deliverable:                   How rust is used to build stacks ,what and how it is used to build clarinet etc

FINAL DELIVERABLE

Deliverable:                   documentation of how rust is used to build stacks tools and core blockchain

👋 @Teke-pixel
Thanks for your application! We will do a pre-review and let you know if we have any immediate questions. In the mean time please refer to our review schedule here for a detailed timeline and response dates.
Best, Will

Hello @Teke-pixel

Thank you for the application and for your patience with the grant review process. We did a thorough review of all of the applications (each application received an average of 6 reviews from members of the Grants Review Committee).  However, after much consideration, we decided not to fund any of the Cohort 19 grant applications as we did not feel they aligned with critical priorities core to the development of the Stacks blockchain.

We invite you to please read this blog post we authored to help elaborate on the reasoning behind this decision and clarify the current mission of the Grants Program.

Thanks in advance, Will Stacks Foundation Grants Program Manager

This is a "CRITIAL BOUNTY" as defined in the blog post:

"...associated documentation for Rust..."
