GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         Course 1: More about Stacks (Tokenomics, Vision, Purpose)

Creation, Design, Hosting, Translation, Recording, Editing, Backup, Quizzes, Certification and Marketing

Course 2: Course 3 Building on Stacks (Technical course on how to create on Stacks tokens apps wallets and more, with a showcase of Dfinity current products):

Grant Impact:               The purpose of this proposal is to teach the MENA Region in arabic the importance of Stacks and how to use it. We will teach people how to build on Stacks sustainable projects and how they could impact the unbanked in the region. If we estimate that only 0.0125% uses the platform or see the courses on the platform, that is 50 000 learners! So if we consider 5% per month enrolls Dfinity courses which will be available for free, thats 2.000 learners nearly per month. Considering the bear market, we estimate the learners will be less as people are less interested in crypto right now, but content will always be available anytime anywhere. •Estimated Population where Arabic is a mother tongue 400 000 000 •103 million students across the Middle East and North Africa

The estimations are highly affected by the current market, as we are experiencing high volatility.

Grant Risks:                          Typically we will be creating the courses and the documentation in English in an Arabic pedagogic way so, we need more info from your side to verify the courses before putting them to translation and recording, we need to be precise 100%.

Regarding working with Stacks, I may need to go thru 1 on 1 session with one of your team so I could totally understand it, because I am not a technical guy.

@Big-Dude thank you for the application. Just curious if you can explain a bit about your budget. At $8k for 50 hours of work, that comes out to $160/hr. The average we tend to see and try to keep is $75/hr. Are there other costs in your budget we should know about?

Hey Will thanks for commenting! Oh I am sorry I dont know why I wrote 50 but it will take much more than that. I will take around 60 per course. I will amend the changes.

Hello @Big-Dude

Thank you for the application and for your patience with the grant review process. We did a thorough review of all of the applications (each application received an average of 6 reviews from members of the Grants Review Committee).  However, after much consideration, we decided not to fund any of the Cohort 19 grant applications as we did not feel they aligned with critical priorities core to the development of the Stacks blockchain.
