GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         Until now Stacks haven’t held games in its ecosystem. But ‘play’ is important for community cohesion and gaming is powerful driver for adoption, engagement and retention. Rogues has postponed itself as a Social Game. This means more to us that a chat function. While we take the structure of a MMORPG with an on-chain virtual economy, we fold social and community incentivisation into the architecture of the game. Our Tokenomics is based on driving a multitude of incentives next to the ROI incentive in order to balance out the capital interests in Web3 gaming. This creates a community of people who are there to play and earn on the way. Our game design nudges them together into guilds and communities, that can skirmish against each other, but ultimately must work WITH each other to rebuild a post-apocalyptic society of foxes. We believe meaning is what makes the best social games, and this is our thesis of game design and ecosystem sustainability, to generate meaning through belonging to a community. We love Stack’s bitcoin base for the security, longevity and the techno-philosophic foundation that it evokes. We believe in the proof of transfer mechanisms of the ecosystem and are excited at the prospect of gaming in this environment. Our vision is mass adoption, and we hope the grantors at Stacks can see that this vision is possible with an NFT game within the stacks ecosystem.

Thank you for your consideration.

Grant Impact:               Unique Active Wallets, NFT Sales

Grant Risks:                          Technical aspects are the main challenge. Our game is in active alpha, with NFTs ready & Unity SDK experience. Our strength in countering this risk is our Founder & CTO, Morgan Page with 3 decades of development experience. We recommend a detailed tech orientation process before grant finalisation.

Support Link:                                     Pitch Deck. Playable Demo's of the game are available upon request.

Hi @BenjiRocket -

We appreciate the proposal, but we have decided to deny your application. For the next several quarters we are laser focused on conserving funding for efforts that have clear alignment with the current priorities of the grants program noted here - specifically sBTC.

Best, Will
