GRANT MISSION, IMPACT, RISKS & REFERENCE

Grant Mission:         As a result of the grant support asked, we'll build SDK that allows implementing reputation/credit scores into existing protocols or completely new solutions on top of Stacks. By providing developers with that tool, we aspire to make DeFi loans less collateralized and more attractive for mainstream borrowers and underserved populations.

The core philosophy of DeFi loans was to make capital accessible to everyone, but the present structure creates hindrances to mass adoption. The barrier is that DeFi loans are always over-collateralized by design. It makes them too elitist and reserved for those with both tech skills and capital. It might seem weird, as one borrows because they need funds they don't own in most cases. So, DeFi loans, as a source of capital, aren't accessible for mainstream borrowers and underserved populations looking for alternatives in the eyes of the upcoming recession.

Nomis.cc is designed to bring mass adoption closer and enable DeFi lenders to get more clients. We help mainstream borrowers get alternative access to capital by placing them in web2-like experiences and enabling them to leverage their on-chain reputation to get better DeFi loan terms. On the other hand, Nomis.cc enables lending protocols to use wallet credit score data in their business models to offer users custom loan terms.

Nomis.cc is at the MVP stage: >5000 wallets have been scored on 20+ L1 and L2 chains so far since Sep’22. We'd love to bring the solution to Stacks too.

Grant Impact:               1) # of Stacks wallets that minted their on-chain credit scores 2) # of protocols that implemented our scoring solution 3) # of new DeFi lenders and borrowers attracted to the Network

Grant Risks:                          We'll not find the Network players or developers interested in the integration

Support Link:                                     1) MVP for 20+ L1s and L2s: https://nomis.cc 2) Whitepaper: https://www.notion.so/artyshatilov/Nomis-Protocol-e859b9e3bae6412fb99d6119a8d2e5a4

GRANT ROADMAP & DELIVERABLES

MILESTONE 1:

Deliverable:                   UI for Stacks wallets to check out and mint their credit/reputation scores

FINAL DELIVERABLE

Deliverable:                   SDK to implement reputation scores into protocols for the Stacks developers

@sxlveign

Thank you for the proposal, however we we have decided to deny your application. For the next several quarters we are laser focused on conserving funding for efforts that have clear alignment with the current priorities of the grants program noted here - specifically sBTC. Additionally, with the addition of the Web3 Startup Lab to our ecosystem - we are leaning on them to support the kickstart of startup ideas like this and reserving grant funding for the development of protocol-wide public goods. You might want to email albert@stacks.ac to see if joining his next cohort would be a good fit. They are focusing exclusively on DeFi.

Best, Will
