4 years ago Here's a quick list of decisions/action items from this call. Please fill in things I've missed!
- Call schedule: we'll do these calls weekly on TUESDAYS going forward, at the same time (7am PT/10am ET/3pm UTC/5pm CEST). Please DM me if you'd like a recurring email invitation and don't already have one.
- Community survey: please review this and add comments in the next 24 hours (reach out on Discord if you need the link). We'll begin the process of sharing it throughout the community in the next day or two. We could use everyone's help to distribute it as widely as possible, and you do not have to be a Blockstack community member to respond. PBC will share it on its channels, but community channels (e.g., for app miners) are essential too. We'll leave it open for 2-4 weeks for responses.
- Please contribute to the knowledge base, and to the regular updates. The first such update will also go out within the next day or two.
- PBC is looking into a Singapore entity for the Stacks Foundation, and is beginning to consider candidates for its board. There will be more formal board members, and less formal "community" members. PBC is open to nominations from the community. They are looking for independent board members who are not already controlling stakeholders in PBC, and who have relevant expertise. Brittany will share more information on this process as it becomes available.
- Several community members are collecting governance resources to be shared with everyone else as part of the knowledge base - thank you for this! We are all still getting used to the workflow of this working group. Please feel free to propose new ideas or changes!
The first community call was held on Thursday, Feb. 13. It's probably about time to hold a second call, given everything that's happened over the past few days!
The second call will be held Monday, March 2 at 7am PT/10am ET/3pm UTC/5pm CEST. The link to join will be posted in the #governance working group channel on Discord shortly before the call.
