Fireside chat series #38

This was proposed in the community chat yesterday. It would be really nice to invite special guests such as Vlad Zamfir and Primavera de Filippi to join us for regular "fireside chats" to discuss governance in context :) Whom else should we invite?

@HaroldDavis3 mentioned the idea of an AMA with the Traditional council in Kahnawake, who will be holding a virtual Great Law of Peace discussion soon (in #30).

In #127 Ryan suggested Ron Eglash (@HaroldDavis3 can help?) as a speaker.

Should this happen during governance calls? in a public forum? Some logistics need to be figured out as well.

Could also be used to reach out to communities related to the work we're doing.

OK! FINALLY, our first Fireside with the Longhouse will be at 11am PST today 12/23! We'll have some good dialogue on indigenous modes of bottom up governance.

We've had two firesides thus far, specific to the Advocates program. First was Dec. 23, Second was Jan 13 With another coming up in about a week on Thurs. Jan 27. Will update the community with exciting blurbs from these long sessions.

Potentially a nice conversation guide for our next fireside! We are aiming for next week some time.

Ah it'd be nice to have DaDa folks there for something like this for sure, maybe Kernel too, along with Advocates of course. Was thinking of this format going going forward for these :)

Ah it'd be nice to have DaDa folks there for something like this for sure in fact they'd prolly best be able to get ahold of her, maybe Kernel too, along with Advocates of course. Was thinking of this format going forward for these :)
