I reran the model with a finer resolution here. The stress distributions look pretty similar.
Note that decreasing the gridsize requires increasing the limit parameter in integrate.quad to 7500 around the singularity at $z = c$ (otherwise the integral doesn't converge properly). For reference, it took a little over an hour to run this version of the model.
Nice first plots of poroelastic stresses in an ice sheet firn aquifer! 🥳
Looking at the plots (here), I was wondering if it is an issue that the resolution of the solution is quite low in comparison to the thickness of the aquifer and to the gap between the water table and the ice surface.
