Application crashing after saving image #18

Not sure if anyone else has been experiencing this but the application seems to crash every time I save a picture to my phone. I have a Pixel XL.

Hello! Thanks for feedback.

  1. try reboot system.(sometimes it's help)
  2. try reinstall app
  3. please get full report of crash and put here.

Hi and thanks for the quick response. After reinstalling the app still has crashing problems after downloading a pic. I have attached a screenshot of the error.

I have attached a screenshot of the error.

Can you attach screenshot on the github?

Attached is the screenshot of the error that happens. The error seems to be happening after I download an image and then try to navigate away from the image page i downloaded from.

I didn't close the app. After downloading the picture I would wait approximately 10 to 15 seconds and the application would stop working and produce that error message. I have no options past that but to restart the application. There is no option to send an error report (probably because it's considered a third party app)

Yes! I reproduced this bug in the emulator just now. I hope I can fix it tomorrow.

This issue happens when trying to download an image using the "save to default folder" option. It is a settings migration issue. After Androids last major update, the user will simply need to reset there default folder setting and the crash should no longer occur. I had tried to update to the most recent version, and it still crashed. However, when I reelected my default folder, the crash no longer occured.

Update. The app has an issue where you will need to reset the default folder everytime you open the app other it causes the crash.

Strange! I should check it. How can I reproduce that problem?

@stalkerg : I haven't had any crashing issues yet with downloading, using my new Xperia X (Android 7.1.x) ...and it also works on my old/previous Xperia Z3+ device (android 7.1.1) where I had this problem before.

Why from Xperia Z3+ (highend) to a Xperia X (midrange), well because of the upcoming offical sailfishOS support from Jolla (and Sony?)

Using 1.2.15 on Google Pixel 2 (8.1) app still immediately crashes after trying to download an image. Unable to pull a crash report as it just stops working.... Can I fix this for you? lol

Maybe you mean 1.12.5? What version of Android do you have?

Whoops. Yes, 1.12.5. Android 8.1.0

yep, I can reproduce this in the emulator. Currently, you can use download icon instead open pictures by the tap on it. I hope I can fix it ASAP.

My app still crashes by tapping on the picture.

oops first time I uploaded not signed version, now should be ok.

Well. the tap to view in "..." doesn't crash now. Yay!! the download still crashes though. Tried reseting my favorites folder. Tried clearing cache, and saved data to refresh. Not logged in, and no set favorite folder crashes as well.

ohhh I yep, I fix it tomorrow. It's should be the same problem. (start with Android 7 and new SDK Google significant changed API)

the download still crashes though.

I am tested this in the emulator and have a problem with open pictures after download only.

Not logged in, and no set favorite folder crashes as well.

How you try to login? Over Google or just login/password? Because I have no problem with the emulator now.

The direct website login. I don't have google linked to the site.

Hate to bring it up again. But app still crashes. Just downloaded .10 a short while ago. App will now at least let me choose the folder to save in, and creates the file but dies when trying to fill the file with data. Just uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. Pixel 2. Android v8.

HUAWEI P20, Android 8.1 - everything fine. It's too strange.
