Hi,
Currently Stalwart only supports internal mailing lists (i.e. lists whose recipients have Stalwart accounts). You can file an enhancement request to add support for external mailing lists but it is currently out of scope for the project.
The origin of this issue is because I have been able to send an email to a list form an outside account (gmail) and email is delivered to list members.
Internal mailing lists is the expected default behaviour, I agree.
Should I open a different issue?
Hi:
We are testing this project for small non-profit organizations, thanks for your effort We hope we can collaborate, with spanish translation for example.
Here is our proposals:
1- List type: newsletter or group. If checkbox newsletter only "publisher" members can send. I checkbox set as "group" every member can send to list. 2- Member type: add publishers (see 1) 3- Footer: textarea to add some description for the group so users understand who is sending. This is also a legal requirement.
There is something more that worries us. At this moment any email (not in members) can send email to list and email will be distributed. Is this on purpose? Are stalwart server "lists feature" another name for "alias accounts"? If so what are aliases?
4- If list feature are ment for distributing messages then an option for being able to "close" a list should be added, so only members/publishers can interact with the list.
PS. If you want us to move this issue to another project or make chunks of it do not hesitate to ask us. Thanks.
